Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A skilled Sign Language Interpreter is needed to support effective communication within a school setting in Antioch, TN. This role focuses on facilitating communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and staff, ensuring equal access to educational opportunities.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing accurate and clear sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, meetings, and school events
- Collaborating with educators and support staff to accommodate communication needs
- Assisting in developing and implementing individualized communication strategies
- Traveling between various school locations as needed to support multiple students or classrooms
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
Preferred qualifications and experience:

- Previous experience interpreting in educational environments, preferably in K-12 settings
- Ability to travel locally to multiple school sites
