About the Position

This opportunity is situated within the Directorate of Medicine's Sleep Laboratory at our facility in Honolulu, Hawaii. The island of Oahu, often referred to as "The Gathering Place," is the most densely populated island in Hawaii. Honolulu serves as the largest city, the state capital, and the primary deep-water port for Hawaii. While the entire island falls under Honolulu County, the city itself occupies only a portion of its southeastern region. Notable attractions on Oahu include Waikiki, Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay, Kane’ohe Bay, Kailua Bay, the North Shore, and the resort area of Ko’Olina.

Oahu is also famous for experiencing the longest recorded rain shower, lasting 200 consecutive days. Kane’ohe Ranch noted 247 days of continuous rain from August 27, 1993, to April 30, 1994. The island enjoys an average temperature ranging from 70 to 85 °F (21 to 29 °C), with the warmest months being June through October. Winters are milder, with temperatures averaging between 68 to 78 °F (20 to 26 °C).

  • Collaborate with staff members to plan and coordinate sleep medicine services and address operational challenges.
