PLC Programmer | Kentwood, MI
Salary Range: $68,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, program, and test PLC logic for automated manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in PLC-controlled systems and HMI interfaces.
- Design and implement HMI screens for machine control and data visualization.
- Perform commissioning and startup of new or modified production lines and equipment.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for PLC programs and system architectures.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams on automation projects.
- Optimize existing PLC programs for improved efficiency, reliability, and safety.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider) and HMI/SCADA development.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial automation and control system design/implementation.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
- Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for complex automation systems and machinery.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with industrial robot programming and integration (e.g., Fanuc, Kuka, ABB).
- Proficiency in SCADA/MES integration and database connectivity (e.g., SQL).
- Familiarity with industrial vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence).
- Experience with high-level programming languages (e.g., Python, C#) for data acquisition or custom tool development.
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) for PLC code management.
