Commercial Solar Rooftop Foreman
Rooftop Foreman – Take Your Leadership to New Heights
Full-Time | $40 – $55/hr
Are you the kind of leader others naturally follow? Do you thrive when your boots are on the roof, not under a desk? If you're ready to take charge, work with purpose, and see the impact of your skills every single day—you might be the Rooftop Foreman we’re looking for.
We’re seeking a hands-on, take-the-reins leader who’s not just experienced, but inspiring. Someone who knows how to run a tight crew, hit daily install targets, and still earn the respect of the team. Bonus points if you enjoy variety, travel, and working on cutting-edge energy projects.
Why You’ll Want This Job:
-
You Lead: You'll direct the day-to-day onsite team—guiding, mentoring, and holding the standard high.
-
You Build: From rooftop equipment to the crew culture—you’ll be assembling more than just hardware.
-
You Travel: See new places, work different job sites, and stay out of the 9-to-5 rut.
-
You Matter: Your work will contribute directly to reducing energy waste and building sustainable solutions across the country.
What You’ll Be Doing:
-
Leading and motivating self-install crews while keeping projects moving smoothly and safely.
-
Installing energy systems (like solar) with precision and adherence to codes and best practices.
-
Tracking productivity goals and rolling up your sleeves to hit them.
-
Using tools, plans, and your sharp eye to ensure installs are done right the first time.
-
Acting as the go-to expert on layout, assembly, grounding, bonding, and onsite coordination.
What You Bring:
-
4+ years of commercial installation experience
-
Ability to read and execute construction plans like a pro
-
Knowledge of electrical systems, especially solar and rooftop installs
-
OSHA 10 and Scissor Lift certified (OSHA 30 is a huge plus!)
-
A clean driver’s license and reliable transportation
-
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Extra Credit:
-
Technical or trade school background
-
Experience mentoring crews or stepping into a leadership role
-
A knack for keeping things on schedule, even when surprises show up
A Few Things to Know:
This job isn't for someone who wants to sit in one spot or punch in and out without thinking. You’ll local travel often (Monday–Friday), work hard, lead harder, and finish every week knowing you made a visible impact.
