About the Role
The Manufacturing Training Manager is responsible for defining, implementing, and continuously improving the site training strategy to ensure a competent, compliant, and high-performing workforce. The role owns the full training lifecycle, including training frameworks, program design, content development, delivery, governance, and reporting, supporting operational excellence, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
What You’ll Do
Training Strategy & Framework
- Define and implement a site-wide training strategy aligned with operational, safety, quality, and business objectives.
- Establish and maintain a structured training framework including onboarding, job-specific, compliance, and development training.
- Embed training systems into daily operations to support long-term workforce capability.
Program Design & Competency Management
- Develop and maintain skills matrices and competency frameworks across all manufacturing functions.
- Design role-based training program with clear proficiency levels and assessment criteria.
- Identify current and future skills gaps to support workforce development and succession planning.
Training Content Development
- Develop, standardize, and maintain training materials including SOP-based modules, work instructions, visual aids, and assessment tools.
- Ensure training content is accurate, standardized, and aligned to shop-floor practices.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to validate technical and compliance-related content.
Training Delivery & Execution
- Coordinate and support departmental trainers and supervisors to ensure consistent training delivery across shifts.
- Manage classroom, on-the-job, and blended learning delivery methods.
- Ensure effective induction and onboarding program for new employees.
Governance, Compliance & Systems
- Implement and manage training tracking systems or Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, quality, and internal training requirements.
- Maintain accurate training records to support audit readiness and IMS requirements.
- Support internal and external audits related to training and competency.
Performance Measurement & Reporting
- Define, monitor, and report on training KPIs including completion rates, competency attainment, and time to competence.
- Provide regular training performance reports to site leadership highlighting risks, gaps, and improvement actions.
- Use data insights to drive continuous improvement in training effectiveness.
Additional Expectation
- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
- Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
- Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Training, Education, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience designing and implementing training systems and competency frameworks.
- Knowledge of regulatory and safety training requirements.
- Experience in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) or training tracking tools.

- Pay range: $120,000 USD to $140,000 USD. This role is eligible for a discretionary bonus.
