Position Overview:Lumen is seeking a Process Specialist to support and lead the strategic migration of enterprise customers from credit card payments to ACH transactions. This role involves working cross-functionally with internal teams and customers to ensure a seamless transition, drive operational efficiency, and monitor the adoption and success of the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Identification and Segmentation
- Analyze and identify enterprise customers currently using credit cards for payments.
- Segment customers based on transaction volume, payment behavior, and readiness for ACH transition.
- Migration Strategy & Execution
- Develop a structured, phased migration call plan to transition enterprise customers from credit cards to ACH payments.
- Manage the execution of each migration phase to minimize service disruption and ensure compliance with internal standards.
- Address customer concerns and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve issues quickly.
- Customer Communication & Support
- Provide clear, professional communication to customers outlining the benefits of ACH and the transition process.
- Guide customers through the onboarding process and offer live support/troubleshooting as needed.
- Ensure any promotional credits are issued in alignment with Lumen SOPs.
- Monitoring, Reporting & Optimization
- Track adoption metrics (e.g., ACH conversion rates, reduction in credit card usage, cost savings).
- Regularly report on migration progress, customer feedback, and operational improvements.
- Address roadblocks and support post-migration issue resolution.
- Future Expansion Planning
- Evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of the initial migration.
- Develop a roadmap for expanding ACH adoption across other customer segments, based on performance metrics and business goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in financial operations, customer onboarding, or process improvement roles.
- Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and CRM tools (e.g., Excel, Salesforce, SAP).
- Familiarity with ACH payments, credit card processing, and enterprise billing systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage change in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience with financial transition projects (ACH, merchant services, etc.).
- Process improvement or Lean/Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
