Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver critical nursing care on a specialized step-down unit focused on cardiac and ICU patients in an Indianapolis-area facility. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced RNs who thrive in fast-paced environments and possess strong critical care skills.
Position Details:
- Location: Noblesville, IN (report to 3rd floor Heart Center, CCU)
- Schedule: Every other weekend, 7:00pm7:30am (Friday and Saturday nights)
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
- Call/Holiday: No on-call; holiday coverage as needed
- Contract Type: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac and ICU step-down patients with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Manage ventilators and titratable drips safely and effectively
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor and respond to patient conditions
- Maintain accurate documentation using the Epic EMR system
- Adhere to facility protocols including medication and sharps handling (drawer key provided)
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience preferred
- ACLS certification mandatory
- Experience with ventilator support and titratable drip infusions essential
- Previous ICU experience highly desirable
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Unit Information:This 16-bed critical care step-down unit offers opportunities to care for complex cardiac and ICU patients using advanced equipment such as ventilators. The unit promotes a navy scrub dress code and maintains professional standardshoodies and sweatshirts are not acceptable attire.
