We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Dental Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that the office runs smoothly while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including endodontics and other specialized treatments.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, utilizing 3D scanning technology when applicable.
Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with medical coding standards.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office, adhering to infection control protocols.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize efficiency within the practice.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including managing insurance claims and patient billing inquiries.
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
Proficiency in taking X-rays; experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
