D Rock Construction is seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our growing construction team. The Carpenter will be responsible for building, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials on residential and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other construction materials.
- Construct and install building frameworks such as walls, floors, and door frames.
- Install structures including doors, windows, cabinets, stairs, and flooring.
- Repair or replace damaged wooden structures and fixtures.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure work complies with building codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with supervisors and other construction workers to complete projects on time.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe work environment.
Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Carpentry apprenticeship, trade school training, or equivalent experience preferred.
* Previous carpentry or construction experience is an asset.
* Ability to read and understand construction drawings and blueprints.
* Strong physical stamina and ability to lift construction materials.
