Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our pediatric team! This position will support both clinical and front desk duties — making it ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced, family-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
- Greet and prepare pediatric patients for exams
- Record accurate vital signs, patient history, and medical information
- Assist providers during exams, procedures, and immunizations
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical supplies
- Follow infection control and safety standards
Front Desk Duties:
- Welcome patients and families with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Check patients in/out, verify insurance, and collect co-pays
- Schedule appointments and manage phone calls
- Ensure smooth communication between clinical and administrative staff
- Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Certification required
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and parents
- Knowledge of EMR systems and medical office operations
- CPR/BLS certification required
Schedule:
- Full-Time (Monday–Friday)
- Occasional Saturday availability preferred
