This role involves preparing accurate tax returns for small businesses, partnerships, and corporations while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience, strong technical knowledge, and excellent client service skills.

Job Details
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local business tax returns.
- Review financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy.
- Identify deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities for clients.
- Advise clients on tax planning strategies and compliance requirements.
- Respond to IRS and state tax notices and assist with audits.
- Stay updated on tax law changes and apply them to client filings.
- Use tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, ProSeries, QuickBooks) for efficient processing.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all client interactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in business tax preparation.
- CPA or EA certification preferred (or actively pursuing).
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of federal and Oregon state tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
