Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make an impact as a dedicated Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students in a nurturing, student-centered environment. This contract position runs from August 31, 2026, through June 17, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (7:45am–4:00pm). You’ll work with 2nd and 3rd-grade students, providing specialized instruction in ELA and Math as an Out of Class Resource (OCR) teacher—plus, you’ll collaborate on push-in support for 1st and 2nd graders to help them access the curriculum at every level.

Qualifications:

  • Valid DOE Certification required
  • Strong background in ELA and Math, especially with elementary students
  • Proven classroom management skills tailored to diverse abilities and needs
  • Experience implementing evidence-based instructional strategies in special education settings
  • Ability to adapt lessons for individual and small group learning
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills with fellow educators, support staff, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted ELA and Math intervention in a small group/resource setting
  • Provide additional push-in support for 1st and 2nd grade, partnering with general education teachers
  • Design and adapt curriculum materials that foster academic growth
  • Maintain compliance with IEP goals and reporting requirements
  • Cultivate a positive, inclusive classroom climate that supports student engagement
  • Track student progress and communicate developments to the multidisciplinary team
