Kelly Services is looking for an Assembly Technician in Maryland Heights, MO. In this hands-on role, you’ll contribute to the creation of high-quality, intricate components critical to final product performance. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-driven, enjoys working with specialized tools and equipment, and is comfortable in a fast-paced, technical environment.
Position: Assembly Technician
Location: Maryland Heights, MO
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
Pay Rate: $18/hour
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and finalize products according to detailed work instructions or blueprints
- Gain proficiency in multiple tasks through cross-training and assist in training team members as needed
- Keep the workspace neat and organized, ensuring a safe working environment
- Properly shut down machinery when not in use
- Oversee equipment such as laser cutters, welders, and stamping machines to ensure accurate operation and troubleshoot issues
- Conduct routine inspections and document quality checkpoints during production
- Perform de-burring and detailed cleaning of parts to meet exact specifications
- Maintain production equipment and tools to support smooth operations
- Support additional projects or tasks assigned by leadership
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven ability to carry out the duties listed above
- Comfortable following both written procedures and verbal instructions
- Willingness to work under a microscope for extended periods
- Capable of learning and safely operating various manufacturing machines
- High school diploma or GED required
- Familiarity with basic quality control standards
- Strong reading and writing skills in English
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and general mechanical abilities
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Precise measuring capabilities for quality assurance
- Self-motivated with strong focus and attention to detail
