Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide dedicated, one-on-one nursing care to a student with extensive medical needs in a year-round school setting. The position is travel-based within Chicago, IL, requiring the nurse to accompany the student on the bus to ensure safety and medical support throughout the school day.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing comprehensive nursing care tailored to the students complex medical requirements.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitoring the students health status and responding promptly to any changes or emergencies.
  • Collaborating closely with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to promote the student's well-being and educational success.
  • Riding the bus with the student to ensure continuous care and safety during transportation.

Qualifications desired:

  • Current licensure as an RN or LPN/LVN, with experience in school nursing or pediatric care.
  • Ability to manage extensive medical needs in a supportive and compassionate manner.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for the student throughout the school year.
  • Flexibility to start as soon as possible.
  • Comfortable riding the bus with the student on a daily basis.

  • Chicago, IL 60621, with travel requirements within the city as related to the students transportation.
