Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Clinical / Ambulatory / Behavioral Health / Residential Treatment (Adolescent Substance Abuse)
Site: New Sunrise Regional Treatment Center (NSRTC)
Location: 20 Mockingbird Drive, Pueblo of Acoma, NM 87034-0317
Duration: 1-year contract with the possibility of a 4 option years (up to 5 years total)
Shift Schedule: M– F, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour shifts, no weekends, no federal holidays)
How many shifts needed per month: ~20 shifts/month (40 hours/week)
License: Any state RN license (active, unrestricted)
Certifications: BLS (AHA) – Required
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required
Experience needed: 2–3+ years RN experience (Behavioral Health / Psych / Rehab preferred) Special Skills needed:

  • Behavioral health / substance abuse experience preferred
  • Adolescent patient care
  • Strong clinical assessment & emergency response skills
  • Care coordination & interdisciplinary collaboration

Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and provide direct nursing care including medication administration and monitoring.
  • Support adolescents in a residential substance abuse treatment setting, ensuring safety, stabilization, and continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans and respond to medical or behavioral emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, educate patients/families, and ensure compliance with clinical standards and IHS policies.

Misc:

  • 22-bed residential treatment facility serving Native adolescents
  • May require occasional off-site patient coordination/transport support
