Duties
- Safely operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to pick orders accurately and efficiently
- Load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety standards and OSHA regulations
- Manage order picking tasks within the warehouse management system (WMS), ensuring inventory accuracy and timely fulfillment
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic repairs to maintain optimal operation of lift trucks and other machinery
- Support warehouse distribution by organizing materials handling processes and maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve safety protocols, and implement best practices in materials handling
Skills
- Proven experience operating reach trucks, lift trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory control
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation, heavy equipment use, and materials handling
- Excellent physical strength for heavy lifting, load & unload tasks, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and order accuracy
- Prior experience in warehouse supervision or warehouse distribution is a plus
