Job Title: CVICU Nurse Manager
Location: Asheville, NC
Type: Full-Time/ Permanent
Shift & Schedule: Days | Administrative Hours | No Weekends | Administrative On-Call Rotation (1 Week Every 6 Weeks)
Pay: $90,000 - $125,000 per Year (Based on Experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Evaluated on a Case-by-Case Basis
Relocation Assistance: Available for Qualified Candidates on a Case-by-Case Basis
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a CVICU Nurse Manager for an exciting Local job in Asheville, NC.
Responsibilities
-
Provide direct administrative supervision, facilitation, and clinical coordination across the 19-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.

Lead recruitment, onboarding, retention, and professional development initiatives for nursing staff.

Foster a supportive learning environment that promotes employee engagement and retention.

Support staff education, competency validation, and performance mentoring.

Integrate clinical quality, human resource productivity, and financial data to support operational decision-making.

Promote evidence-based practice and nursing research within the unit.

Ensure compliance with national critical care nursing standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain oversight of departmental operations, staffing, patient care quality, and fiscal performance.

Collaborate with physicians, executive leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Support continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent nursing degree pathway.

Active North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact RN License.

Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.

Minimum 5 years of recent Registered Nurse experience.

Minimum 2 years of clinical hospital leadership experience, including Charge Nurse or Management experience.

Dedicated post-cardiothoracic clinical background.

National Specialty Certification in nursing leadership or a relevant clinical specialty (such as CCRN) required within one year of accepting the role.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous full-time Nurse Manager experience.

Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related administrative field.

Experience leading high-acuity Cardiovascular Intensive Care Units.

Strong knowledge of critical care operations, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.

Proven leadership, staff development, and operational management skills.
