Job DescriptionSalary: $40.00/hr + (Based on Licensure)
Associate Clinician provides direct behavioral health services to patients and is responsible for facilitating group therapy, counseling, and educating clients based upon their individualized emotional psychological, and psychiatric needs.
Schedule:
Sunday - Thursday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Job Responsibilities
- Provides patient care modalities of evidence-based practices to best meet the clinical needs of the patients. Examples include; CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychoeducation (Symptom Recognition), Grief Counseling, etc.
- Provides individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, client advocacy, prevention, and education.
- Helping individual patients regain their pre-crisis levels of functioning.
- Strengthening and developing a clients support network and coping skills.
- Associate clinician will receive Clinical Supervision by Licensed Provider(s) at the ratio of one hour individual or two hours group supervision for every 10 hours of clinical experience gained.
- Associate clinician is responsible for tracking clinical experience hours utilizing appropriate BBS tracking forms and obtaining weekly signatures from Clinical Supervisor(s).
- Provides group and individual therapy for facility residents and their families.
- Works in conjunction with other staff to meet individual and family needs.
- Secures and documents informed consent from all participants.
- Develops and documents goals for each resident and documents all progress made toward completion of goals.
- Document information concerning family therapy sessions, phone calls, e-mail, voicemail, etc. as appropriate, explaining all contact as necessary.
- Complete a case closure summary when services are terminated, including information on documented hours of service, identified problems, resident progress, and recommendations regarding further treatment.
- Ability to recognize countertransference concerns and can actively seek supervision and peer support.
- Makes community referrals as appropriate and works with other staff to facilitate any necessary follow-up regarding resident needs.
- Participates in case staffing and staff meetings as requested.
- Participates in staff training as requested.
- Abides by the CAMFT Code of Ethics
- Understands and applies all National Psychiatric Care and Rehabilitation Services Policies and Procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A master's degree in one of the following areas: social work; marriage, family, therapy; psychology; clinical psychology; or counseling psychology; obtained from an accredited school, college, or university.
- Must possess current and active registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker, Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist as issued by the State of California, Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Minimum Experience: One (1) year experience working in a mental health setting or social service agency providing services to mentally ill consumers.
- A Clear criminal record review and fingerprint background check
- Successful completion of a Negative Drug Test
* Hiring is contingent upon a full background screening in accordance with California licensing regulations; DOJ/FBI clearance, pre-employment physical and TB clearance. DMV printout and Basic First Aid certification is required prior to employment.
