Summary
The Plant Manager will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating the effective and efficient utilization of employees through proactive, high-participation work team involvement.
Key Activities
- Overseeing daily production and production support operations to ensure smooth functioning.
- Approving production schedule.
- Monitoring the quality of product being produced and address quality issues.
- Managing productivity level for all production operations.
- Monitoring performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
- Implementing operational policies and procedures.
- Managing staff schedules and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
- Overseeing the coordination and documentation of equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Overseeing the purchasing and inventory of productions materials and supplies.
- Researching and assisting in the implementation of cost-saving measures.
- Preparing reports on operational performance and key metrics.
- Participating in assessing new business opportunities and growth strategies.
- Human Resource Management:
- Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new employees.
- Evaluating employee performance and providing mentoring, training and feedback.
- Leading and motivating the team to achieve objectives.
- Addressing employee concerns, disciplinary issues and conflicts.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word &PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Educations & Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
- Experience within corrugated paper packaging or a similar manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- A College degree in manufacturing or engineering is preferred.
