About the Role
As a Clinical Floater, you'll be an essential part of our clinical care team, providing vital support across various office locations in Delaware and Chester Counties as needed. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations and contributes to the seamless operation of our practices. Your flexibility and commitment to patient well-being will be key to your success.
Responsibilities
- Provide versatile clinical support: Fill in at various PentaHealth / Tandigm Physician Services offices as requested by management, performing a wide range of duties.
- Ensure patient readiness: Conduct pre-visit planning, review and update patient charts with recent test results and correspondence and determine needed services.
- Assist physicians: Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, take histories, vital signs, and reasons for visit. Administer injections, assist with EKGs, GYN exams, and other patient care services as directed.
- Maintain clinical efficiency: Prepare, clean, and maintain exam and treatment rooms, manage clinical supplies and equipment, and maintain sample medication records.
- Patient communication and coordination: Triage and respond to patient communications, assist with scheduling tests and treatments, precertify patients for hospital care/procedures, and process referrals.
- Quality and compliance: Consistently maintain quality measures, contribute to policy and procedure development, and uphold strict confidentiality.
- Flexibility: Be available to work varied schedules, including nights until closing and weekends on an as-needed basis.
What You'll Bring
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification: Current Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification is required.
- Experience: At least one year of medical experience in a physician's office or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Travel: Reliable transportation is essential, and you must be willing to travel throughout the day to different office locations as needed. If not needed in an office, you may work at the corporate office.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical practice, care, examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
- Proficiency with medical equipment and instruments.
- Ability to take vital signs and assist with a variety of treatments and medications.
- Excellent clinical quality assurance skills.
- Aptitude for identifying and resolving problems efficiently.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and interpret guidelines effectively.
- Exceptional judgment and the ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and coworkers.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic arithmetic knowledge and computer proficiency.
