This person may also guide and mentor financial analysts and collaborate across accounting, sales, and operations to ensure forecasts and budgets align with real-world activity. Primary Responsibilities The Finance Manager will play a lead role in shaping the organization's financial outlook through disciplined planning, forecasting, and analysis, with meaningful visibility to senior decision-makers.
- Own and continuously improve the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning models
- Lead monthly and quarterly forecast updates, translating business activity into clear financial expectations and scenarios
- Partner closely with functional leaders to understand cost drivers, revenue trends, and operational risks impacting forecasts
- Develop and maintain financial models that support headcount planning, expense management, and strategic initiatives
- Prepare clear, executive-ready financial insights that highlight variances, risks, and opportunities against budget and forecast
- Support leadership with scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to inform growth, investment, and resource allocation decisions
- Improve planning processes, templates, and data quality to increase forecast accuracy and decision confidence
- Mentor and support analysts or cross-functional partners by strengthening financial acumen and planning discipline across the organization
Preferred Experience and Qualifications This Finance Manager role is ideal for someone looking to deepen their FP&A leadership and become a trusted voice in planning and budgeting conversations.
- Background in finance, accounting, or a related discipline, with hands-on experience in budgeting and forecasting
- Approximately 4-6 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial planning, and finance leadership roles
- Strong financial modeling skills with the ability to build practical, scalable forecasting tools
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial systems, planning tools, or ERPs
- Experience partnering with non-finance stakeholders and translating complex data into actionable insights
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with an interest in improving processes and planning accuracy
- Ability to communicate confidently with senior leaders and influence decisions through data and analysis
