Duration: 6 Months, Long term contract
Pay Rate: $70K annual salary
Reports To: Supply Chain Manager or Director of Operations

Lead production planning and scheduling.
Demand planning.
Must have PPC environment experience.
Experience level: 8+ yrs production planning & scheduling in PPC environment.
Team- 2 other Master Schedulers, 10 Jr schedulers. No direct reports.
Job Summary:
The Senior Master Scheduler is a strategic role responsible for leading production planning and scheduling (PPC) across multiple manufacturing lines or facilities. This position ensures alignment between demand forecasts, capacity planning, and inventory strategies to meet service level goals and optimize operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Scheduling: Develop and oversee master production schedules aligned with sales forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory targets.
Advanced PPC Leadership: Lead PPC initiatives, integrating demand planning, MRP, and capacity analysis to drive operational excellence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing to ensure synchronized planning and execution.
Scenario Planning: Conduct simulations and “what-if” analyses to support decision-making under changing demand or supply conditions.
Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
Resource Management: Balance supply and demand by managing resources effectively.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts and obsolescence.
Coordination: Work closely with other departments, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing, to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
Communication: Serve as a communication link between marketing, distribution, engineering, manufacturing, and planning
Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement in scheduling processes, leveraging lean principles and digital tools.
Mentorship: Coach and mentor junior schedulers and planners, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to ISO standards and internal sustainability and safety programs.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: 8+ years in production planning and scheduling, with proven leadership in PPC environments.
Certifications: APICS CPIM or CSCP required.
Systems Expertise: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP), scheduling software, and data analytics tools.
Skills: Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to manage complexity and drive results.
