Job Description
I am working with an exceptional client based in Cranford, looking to expand their audit team with a new hungry leader to come in at manager level.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced public accounting audit professional who is looking for a role with ownership, client exposure, and the ability to lead engagements from start to finish.
The successful candidate will have 6+ years of audit experience with a strong background in full-cycle audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, review, and completion.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage audit engagements from initial planning through final delivery
- Perform and review financial statement audits for a variety of clients
- Oversee engagement teams, delegate work, and provide guidance to staff
- Review audit workpapers and ensure compliance with GAAS and firm standards
- Prepare and review financial statements and related disclosures
- Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact
- Identify accounting and audit issues and communicate recommendations
- Assist with staff development, coaching, and performance feedback
- Manage deadlines, budgets, and overall engagement workflow
Ideal Background:
- 6+ years of public accounting audit experience
- Experience managing full-cycle audits
- Strong experience with financial statement audits, GAAP, and GAAS
- Experience reviewing workpapers and supervising audit staff
- CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients
