We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our client in Seattle, Washington on a contract basis. This role requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual with expertise in public sector finance, including comprehensive financial reporting and budget management. The ideal candidate will excel in handling year-end close activities, audit preparation, and grant-related financial functions.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Oversee budget development and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Manage year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
• Provide audit support, including preparing documentation and liaising with auditors.
• Monitor and report on grant financials, ensuring adherence to regulations.
• Conduct reviews of financial processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Supervise accounts payable and other accounting functions to maintain operational excellence.
• Utilize accounting software systems for streamlined financial operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align capital management strategies with organizational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with public sector financial policies and procedures.
• Proven experience as a Finance Manager, with a focus on public sector finance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting functions, including accounts payable and auditing.
• Demonstrated expertise in budget processes and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with grant reporting and compliance requirements.
• Ability to conduct process reviews and implement improvements effectively.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.
