Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years occupational therapy experience required.
A full-time, onsite opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist to support elementary school students ages 5-12 during the upcoming school year. This role spans from August 18, 2025, through June 17, 2026, serving a caseload of approximately 55 students, including 49 direct clients and 6 consult cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations to assess students occupational therapy needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams by contributing to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Develop and implement tailored intervention plans to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals accordingly
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure optimal support for each child
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapy license valid for practice in Philadelphia, PA
- Experience working with children aged 5-12, preferably in an educational setting
- Knowledge of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Special Education processes
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Ability to engage and motivate young learners through creative therapy approaches
Location: Pottstown, PA elementary school setting
