We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Administrative Operations Manager to serve as the anchor of our agency's support infrastructure. This is an opportunity for a seasoned professional to manage the diverse operations that keep our team running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. **This is a hybrid position (more on-site than remote). Must reside in NC within commuting distance of the Raleigh location**

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares recommended projections for Administration’s annual budget. Analyzes and manages the purchasing, payment and budgeting processes.
  • Collaborates with the NC Department of Insurance and the North Carolina Association of Insurance Agents to maintain risk management policies.
  • Manages all facets of motor fleet operations.
  • Manages, trains, mentors and evaluates the Administrative Operations Specialist and Receptionists.
  • Responsible for furniture replacement and special-order needs for the entire NCEL staff.
  • Organizes internal operations.
  • Serves as the records retention liaison between the NCEL and the Department of Cultural Resources Office of State Records.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree and/or 5-7 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of general purchasing procedures and policies.
  • Skill in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as a pallet jack and a Cushman Stock chaser.
  • Ability to work within Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify opportunities for efficiency
  • Valid State Driver's License.
  • Notary Public certification and CPR/AED certification is preferred.

Hiring Rate: $61,804
