Salary Range: $112,254.90 - $142,156.86 annually

We are in search of a committed Clinical Instructor to join our Development Innovation & Research Department at Monmouth Medical Center. Key Responsibilities

The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner will:

  • Implement theory-based nursing practices to enhance cost-effective, quality patient care in roles such as educator, leader, mentor, preceptor, consultant, researcher, and role model.
  • Report safety concerns, including hazardous conditions and medical errors.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct annual competency assessments for all staff.
  • Consult with nursing staff, Clinical Directors, physicians, and other professionals on practice-related matters.
  • Contribute to performance evaluations of nursing personnel as needed.
  • Coordinate nursing orientation in partnership with Clinical Directors, orienting staff, and preceptors.
  • Facilitate general nursing education programs, including orientation.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs tailored to the skills and knowledge needs of nursing staff, patients, and families.
  • Establish nursing standards of practice and patient care policies in collaboration with registered nurses.
  • Assist in the implementation of these standards through education.
  • Pursue professional growth through continuing education, independent study, and active participation in professional organizations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BS/BSN).
  • A minimum of three years of current experience in relevant areas.
  • At least one year of demonstrated leadership or management experience.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey.

Preferred:

  • Educational degree in Nursing or a related health field.
  • If holding a non-nursing Master's degree, a BSN is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in education, teaching, or as a preceptor.
