Key Responsibilities
Customs Entries & Compliance: Prepare, process, and file accurate import entries through U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) using the ACE and ABI systems.
Classification: Properly classify goods according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS).
ISF Management: Submit and manage timely Importer Security Filings (ISF / 10+2) to keep supply chains moving without delay.
Document Verification & Coordination: Audit commercial invoices, bills of lading, and packing lists while coordinating directly with clients, carriers, and government agencies.
Problem Solving: Act quickly to resolve customs holds, resolve missing documents, and clear cargo efficiently.
Client Care: Keep our clients informed every step of the way with top-tier updates on clearance timelines and entry status.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or international trade.
Technical Expertise: Strong familiarity with ACE, ABI systems, and standard import software, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge: Solid understanding of CBP regulations and HTS classification.
Detail-Oriented: An eagle eye for accuracy—you know that getting the details right the first time prevents costly delays.
Education: High school diploma or GED required (Associate’s degree or higher is a plus).
Speed & Independence: The ability to multitask, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
