🔧Job Description
Join our growing team as a Forklift Operator in a newly expanded warehouse. You'll play a key role in the movement, loading, and unloading of glass products using forklifts and other material handling equipment. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment focused on safety, precision, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to transport glass and materials throughout the warehouse
- Load and unload glass from semis and place it in designated storage areas
- Assist in staging materials for production and shipping
- Support the glass cutting and tempering process by moving materials as needed
- Use overhead cranes to assist with large or heavy glass panels
- Ensure accurate handling of products based on order tickets and measurements
- Perform routine equipment checks and follow all safety protocols
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
- Comfortable with general labor and heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs with team assistance)
- Ability to read and follow measurements using tape measures
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic mechanical tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Overhead crane experience (training available)
- Experience in glass handling or similar materials
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Stable work history (1+ year tenure preferred)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
