Project Manager | Kentwood, MI

Salary Range: $82,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, schedules, and resource requirements for manufacturing initiatives.
Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring projects remain within financial constraints.
Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, production, supply chain) to ensure seamless project execution.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to prevent delays or cost overruns.
Monitor project progress, implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
Communicate project status, issues, and successes to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
Ensure all manufacturing projects comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

Proven experience leading complex projects within a manufacturing or production environment.
In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain, and quality assurance principles.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, operations, quality).
Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Lean) and relevant software.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills specific to manufacturing projects.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
Experience with specific manufacturing ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex)
Technical degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial)
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
