Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An educational opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher dedicated to supporting elementary students in a focused learning environment. This part-time contract position, based in Anderson, SC, involves working closely with a small group of 15 to 17 students, providing both pull-in and pull-out instructional strategies tailored to individual learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs.
- Implement pull-in/pull-out teaching methods to enhance student engagement and progress.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to develop and modify Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust instructional techniques accordingly.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere promoting student growth and development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with elementary students in special education settings.
- Strong skills in differentiated instruction and behavior management.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Schedule and Location:
- Part-time hours, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
- Position located in Anderson, South Carolina.
