Adecco is recruiting for a Customer Service Representative / Administrative Assistant for a client in North Syracuse, NY. This position is a long-term, temp-to-hire opportunity, paying $18–20/hour, depending on experience.
Position Overview
Adecco is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and adaptable Customer Service Representative / Admin Assistant to support a healthcare services organization.
This role supports day-to-day office operations and customer interactions in a small, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working through uncertainty to find solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound and outbound phone calls from customers, caregivers, insurance companies, and medical offices.

Gather, review, and track documentation related to medical services, approvals, and funding.

Identify missing or incorrect paperwork and proactively reach out to appropriate parties to obtain corrections or additional information.

Educate callers on processes, next steps, and timelines with professionalism and empathy.

Support individuals who may be frustrated due to delays, injuries, or other sensitive situations.

Maintain consistent in-office coverage.

Coordinate with delivery personnel and internal teams as needed.

Adapt to evolving processes, responsibilities, and internal changes as the company continues to grow.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications

Strong call center or high-volume phone experience (inbound and outbound).

Proven ability to work with the general public, including handling difficult or unhappy callers.

Background in healthcare, medical offices, insurance, reimbursements, or related administrative environments is highly preferred.

Experience gathering documentation, following up on open items, and managing detailed paperwork.

Comfort operating in a “gray area” — able to research answers, problem-solve, and follow up when solutions are not immediately clear.

Strong attendance, reliability, and ability to work independently.

Excellent communication, organization, and customer education skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
