Quality Engineer | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $70,000 - $104,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor manufacturing processes to identify and resolve quality non-conformances.
- Perform product and process audits to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and reliability.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and generate reports for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities, including APQP and PPAP submissions.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and their application.
- Proficiency in core quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, 8D, 5 Whys).
- Demonstrated ability to apply statistical methods for process control, data analysis, and problem-solving.
- Experience with root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Certification or practical experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
- Experience with specific industry quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 13485, IATF 16949)
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
- Familiarity with MES or ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
