• We are partnering with a well-established ophthalmology practice in Chicago seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their clinical team. This role focuses on diabetic eye exams and routine ophthalmic evaluations, including medical clearance exams for surgical procedures. No prior ophthalmology experience is required — comprehensive training will be provided.

  Position Highlights

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule

  • No weekends

  • Standard clinic hours

  • Collaborative ophthalmology setting

  • Training provided for ophthalmic-specific skills

  • Other available locations : schaumburg, Albany, oakbrook Terrace, Buffalo Grove, Oak lawn.

  Clinical Responsibilities

  • Perform diabetic eye examinations

  • Conduct standard eye evaluations and pre-surgical clearances

  • Review patient history and coordinate care with ophthalmologists

  • Provide patient education and follow-up care

  Compensation & Benefits

  • $65–$70 per hour (negotiable based on experience)

  Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Illinois NP or PA license

  • Certification in Family Medicine, Adult-Gerontology, or a related field

  • Comfortable working in an outpatient clinical setting
