Job Description
The Epoxy Technician installs high-quality epoxy and resinous flooring systems by preparing surfaces, mixing materials, and applying coatings according to project specifications. This role involves hands-on work in flooring construction projects, ensuring durable, visually appealing, and safe finished floors.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for epoxy and resinous flooring installation by thoroughly cleaning, grinding, and repairing substrates as needed.
- Inspect and verify substrate conditions to ensure proper adhesion and long-term performance of epoxy and resinous flooring systems.
- Mix epoxy and resinous materials according to specified formulations, following precise ratios and instructions.
- Verify and maintain correct color matching and consistency for each flooring project.
- Apply epoxy and resinous coatings using various techniques, including trowel, squeegee, and roller applications.
- Execute decorative finishes, textures, and designs as required by project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each project.
- Follow all safety procedures while handling, mixing, and installing epoxy and resinous materials.
Essential Skills
- Ability to perform manual labor in flooring construction environments.
- Capability to prepare surfaces through cleaning, grinding, and minor repairs.
- Skill in mixing epoxy and resinous materials according to specified formulations.
- Proficiency in applying epoxy and resinous coatings using trowel, squeegee, and roller techniques.
- Attention to detail to ensure proper substrate conditions, color matching, and consistency.
- Comfort working around the smell of epoxy and handling epoxy materials.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and project specifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working on flooring construction or similar manual labor projects.
- Familiarity with decorative flooring finishes, textures, and design applications.
- Strong work ethic and reliability in completing tasks on schedule.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different epoxy systems and application methods.

Work Environment

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
