Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available within the Denver area, specifically supporting students with diverse learning needs across multiple elementary and K-8 schools. This contract position offers the chance to work in a supportive district focusing on providing specialized instruction in center-based and autism programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students with affective and autism spectrum disorders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Support students social, emotional, and academic growth through evidence-based strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with families and staff.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learner needs in inclusive and specialized settings.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Colorado Department of Education (CO DOE) Special Education certification.
  • Relevant experience working with special education students, preferably within elementary or K-8 environments.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral strategies and individualized educational planning.
  • 0-10+ years of teaching experience, with pay scale adjusted accordingly.
  • Ability to work full-time (35+ hours per week) in on-site roles across multiple schools.

Position Details:

  • Roles available include Affective Needs Teacher, Full-Time Learning Specialist, and SLS Autism Teacher.
  • Work locations include Rocky Mountain Elementary, Thunder Vista K-8, and Eagleview Elementary.
  • Contract duration: ASAP start through May 22, 2026.
  • This assignment involves direct interaction with student caseloads in center-based and special learning support programs.
