A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist seeking to make a meaningful impact in a K-12 school setting during the summer months. This position involves working directly with students to address and support a range of speech and language needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Missouri Speech-Language Pathologist licensure
- CCC-SLP certification
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and treatment methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
Location:
- Kansas City, KS
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disabilities
- Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with teaching staff to support students communication goals
- Conduct therapy sessions and monitor student progress
- Engage in regular communication with parents and caregivers regarding student development
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
