Duration: 16 weeks
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:30 – 16:00)

Job Responsibilities and All Required and Preferred Skills and Requirements:

  • \t

    Perform inpatient and outpatient EEG procedures for patients across all age groups, including neonates through geriatrics.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Conduct routine, sleep, sleep-deprived, ambulatory EEGs, long-term monitoring (LTM), EMU, and video monitoring studies.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Complete EEG testing in ICU environments (Adult ICU, NICU, PICU), Emergency Department, and Trauma Level I settings.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Perform electrode placement, portable EEG recordings, and brain death studies, including testing on sedated and comatose patients.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Float between units as needed and participate in rotating weekday and weekend on-call coverage.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Maintain accurate documentation using Epic charting systems.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary, teaching hospital environment with a 1:1 patient ratio.

Required Qualifications:

    \t

    Minimum of 2 years of EEG experience.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Proficiency in electrode placement, portable EEG recordings (ICU, NICU, PICU), brain death studies, sleep EEG, and sleep-deprived EEGs.

    \t

  • \t

    Current BLS certification.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Ability to float between units and take on-call assignments as scheduled.

    \t

Preferred Qualifications:

    \t
  • \t

    Experience with ambulatory EEG and long-term monitoring.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Experience in teaching hospitals, community hospitals, and Trauma Level I facilities.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Familiarity with Epic charting.

    \t

  • \t

  • \t

    Experience with transcranial Doppler and intraoperative monitoring (preferred, not required).
