Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge with specialization in Long Term Care (LTC) pharmacy services. The role is located in Converse, TX and offers a direct hire employment arrangement. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with LTC regulations including CMS, DEA, and state board requirements specific to nursing facilities.
- Oversee pharmacy operations within a long-term care or closed-door pharmacy setting, ensuring accuracy and quality in medication dispensing.
- Manage use of electronic Medication Administration Records (eMAR), cycle fills, medication carts, and other LTC pharmacy workflows efficiently.
- Utilize LTC pharmacy systems such as PrimeCare, DocuTrack, TCGRx, and Parata to streamline pharmacy processes.
- Collaborate closely with consultant pharmacists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and medication management.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelors or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Active Registered Pharmacist license in Texas.
- Significant experience working in a long-term care or closed-door pharmacy environment is strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of nursing facility pharmacy regulations and workflow.
- Hands-on experience with LTC pharmacy software and eMAR systems.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborative teamwork.
