Job Summary
The Regional Sales Manager – IoT & Telematics will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the IoT and Telematics product portfolio in the assigned territory. This quota-carrying role requires a strong technical background in embedded computing, cellular connectivity, and edge hardware, as well as a proven track record of B2B sales success in IoT, automotive, or telematics markets. The position will focus on developing new business, managing existing accounts, and building strong relationships with channel partners and OEM customers.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Achieve and exceed quarterly sales targets for IoT and Telematics products within the assigned region.
Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities in target verticals such as transportation, logistics, fleet management, and smart infrastructure.
Manage and grow relationships with OEMs, system integrators, VARs, and enterprise accounts.
Collaborate with Applications Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing teams to deliver tailored solutions and secure complex deals.
Develop and execute regional go-to-market strategies aligned with company initiatives.
Conduct regular customer meetings (in-person and virtual), technical presentations, and business reviews.
Provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline visibility, and account planning through CRM (Salesforce).
Support regional trade shows, customer demonstrations, and pilot deployments.
Monitor competitive trends and provide feedback for product roadmap development.
Education & Experience:
Minimum 3 years of regional sales experience in IoT, embedded systems, or telematics.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).
Qualification & Skills
Required qualifications and skills include, but are not limited to:
Technical knowledge of cellular technologies (LTE, 5G), GNSS, CAN bus, and edge computing platforms.
Proven ability to prospect, close, and expand complex B2B accounts.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to engage effectively with both technical and business decision-makers.
Experience selling through distribution, VARs, and OEM channels.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and travel up to 50% within the territory.
This role will cover the Western region and ideally would be in California.
