The Convenient Care Nurse/CMA is responsible for assessing the needs of each patient: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Plans the care needed to meet those needs, including the spiritual, emotional, and physiological needs. Once planned, the RN is responsible to see that the plan of care is carried out through performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel. Administers IM and oral medications. Responsible for assessment and discharge of patient along with patient and family teaching.

Schedule: 3–10-hour shifts/week, every other weekend required, some holidays required

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or certified medical assistant program.
  • Current license as a registered or licensed practical nurse or certified medical assistant certification.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Clinical experience preferred but not required.
  • Good working knowledge of the nursing process and strong nursing practice skills including physical assessment skills.
