Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgical Center in Winston Salem, NC. This role is ideal for an LPN who is confident, skilled, and comfortable working in pre-, intra-, and post-procedural Endoscopy settings.
MUST have strong IV skills and be confident starting IVs independently.
Position Overview:
The Endoscopy LPN works collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to provide high-quality patient care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures. This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a procedural environment.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- No weekends, no holidays, no call
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in pre-, intra-, and post-procedure areas
- Start IVs using aseptic technique (required skill)
- Administer medications as ordered by the physician
- Monitor patients and report changes in condition
- Assist with procedures and support the clinical team
- Prepare and clean procedure rooms in accordance with infection control policies
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the care process
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted North Carolina LPN license
- Current BLS certification
- Proven experience starting IVs – must be confident and proficient
- Prior Endoscopy or procedural experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations
- Reliable transportation, valid NC driver’s license, and current auto insurance
