Mechanical Engineer
Location: This position is onsite and is based in Wilmington, MA
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for Engineering Change Management CAD support (ECOs).
• Perform forced convection analysis and make recommendations for improvement.
• Perform analyses for thermal and structural components and sub-modules.
• Analyze sources of design variation at system and subsystem level by performing tolerance (mechanical tolerance stack-up) analyses.
• Participate in FMEA/DFMEA, risk assessment, and mitigation activities as needed.
• Support driving full documentation of designs including, BOM, drawings, and procedures
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• 5+ years hands-on design and development; Analytical instrumentation or related industry preferred
• Fully proficient with Solidworks and demonstrated experience using FEA (Solidworks Simulation).
• Expertise in designing parts for a variety of manufacturing processes: machining, casting, sheet metal, plastics, fabricated assemblies, etc.
• Understanding of Optics and Opto-mechanical concepts (desired)
