Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional radiographic procedures under the direction of radiologists. The technologist will ensure high-quality imaging while maintaining strict radiation safety standards and delivering exceptional patient care.

Schedule & Call Requirements

• Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM

• Rotational weekends and holidays required

• Overtime may be required based on departmental needs

• On-call coverage: 2–4 days per month

Key Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic and interventional imaging procedures as ordered by physicians.

• Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging examinations.

• Explain procedures clearly to patients to ensure comfort and understanding.

• Set proper exposure factors to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

• Practice radiation safety and protection to minimize patient exposure.

• Operate imaging equipment efficiently and report equipment malfunctions promptly.

• Process imaging studies and enter accurate documentation into the Radiology Information System (RIS) for billing and records.

• Follow departmental policies, procedures, and established imaging protocols.

• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to support patient care needs.

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.

• Active New York State license/registration required.

• Minimum 1 year of CT or MRI experience as a radiologic technologist.

• Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance.
