Senior Financial + Investment Analyst

A company in Columbia is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. This position will be in office Monday through Friday, and the salary range is $90-105k plus bonus.

Essential Functions

  • Provide advanced financial modeling support across departments for investment projects—including development, acquisitions, expense reviews, and capital expenditure proposals.
  • Participate in cross-functional department and organizational initiatives as assigned.
  • Conduct ad hoc management reporting, variance analysis, and executive-level analytical deliverables.
  • Assist in preparing materials for Investment Committee review and approvals.
  • Serve as liaison between Asset Management and Development teams to support underwriting and deal analysis.
  • Lead quarterly forecasting and reporting processes for assigned assets.
  • Coordinate with Asset Management and Accounting to collect, validate, and summarize budget inputs.
  • Consolidate key performance data including revenue, NOI, occupancy, and other metrics to support earnings forecasts.
  • Monitor portfolio-level risks, yields, NAV, and other performance indicators relative to benchmarks and targets.
  • Present portfolio reviews and performance updates to Asset Management leadership.
  • Provide financial support for asset-level decisions, including modeling lease scenarios, capital planning alternatives, and property-level EBIT.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams regarding the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of relevant financial analysis or investment analysis experience.
  • Experience in commercial real estate finance preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); advanced Excel modeling strongly preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems.
  • Experience with financial analysis platforms preferred, such as:
    • ARGUS Enterprise
    • Yardi Forecast Manager
    • Yardi Valuation Manager

Other Requirements

  • Strong understanding of financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting concepts.
  • Ability to evaluate business conditions and assess financial implications.
  • Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills; ability to collect, organize, and interpret financial data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex concepts clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented approach when working with internal stakeholders.
