Lead Carpenter
$28.00 - $34.00 Hourly
We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Carpenter to manage and execute carpentry projects locally and on the road. This role requires expertise in rough and finish carpentry, strong leadership skills, and the flexibility to travel for out-of-town projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage carpentry teams to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard
- Perform rough and finish carpentry, including framing, cabinetry, trim work, and custom carpentry tasks
- Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage on-site inventory, tools, and materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure project accuracy
- Participate in nationwide projects lasting 1–3 weeks, involving accommodations and transportation arrangements
- Complete local work during non-travel periods
- Coordinate with project managers and other trades to complete tasks efficiently
Qualifications
- 5+ years of carpentry experience, including leadership roles
- Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally for short-term assignments (1–3 weeks at a time)
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and materials
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and procedures.
- Valid Drivers License & Ability to operate motor vehicles
Essential Physical & Cognitive Requirements
- Continuous lifting, pulling, pushing of objects
- Ability to individually lift and/or carry 50lbs
- Ability to multi-task, read, write, calculate data have reliable & predictable attendance
