Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Physical Therapist is needed to provide specialized support to elementary school-aged students on the Autism Spectrum. This contract position begins in April as a leave replacement and offers the opportunity to continue through the summer school session, with the summer location to be determined. The position is based in the Bronx, NY, serving a school environment dedicated to helping students achieve their fullest potential.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering individualized physical therapy services to students on the Autism Spectrum.
• Collaborating with educators and other professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
• Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting interventions as needed.
• Supporting therapeutic goals that enhance students motor skills, strength, coordination, and overall physical development.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Licensed Physical Therapist with experience working in school settings.
• Proven ability to work effectively with children on the Autism Spectrum.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and families.
• Ability to manage a full caseload and maintain detailed records in compliance with school policies.
