'PET/CT imaging tech needed produces high quality diagnostic images.to support healthcare system in Modesto, CA. '... images/studies possible—enabling physicians to diagnose with pinpoint accuracy and treat with confidence. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, etc. and radiation safety/regulations, including proper documentation and technique when working with radioactive materials/patients.
2. Produces high quality diagnostic images.
3. Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
4. Trains new technologists and/or PC's
5. Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, coils, etc.).
Position Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine required; NMTCB or ARRT (RT-N) and state license, as applicable.
• State license as required.
• CPR certification required.
• As applicable, valid state driver’s license.
• 1-2 years PET/PETCT imaging experience adequate training in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies required.'
