Job Description
As a forklift driver, you will utilize a sit-down forklift to efficiently move goods throughout the facility. Your role includes moving palletized products, assisting in packaging shipments, checking inventory, loading and unloading products, and staging products for shipment. You will also be responsible for palletizing products, assisting with loading products onto the production line, loading and unloading trucks, filling out shift paperwork, completing inspections, and maintaining production pace. Comfort working in both plant and warehouse areas is essential.
Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down forklift to move goods within the facility.
- Move and manage palletized products.
- Assist in packaging and preparing shipments.
- Check inventory and ensure accurate records.
- Load and unload products and trucks.
- Stage products for shipment.
- Palletize products for transport.
- Assist with loading products onto the production line.
- Complete shift paperwork and inspections.
- Maintain production pace.
Essential Skills
- Experience working within a foods GMP environment.
- Sit-down forklift experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- GMP experience..
- Experience with RF scanners and order picking.
- Experience in a cold storage environment is a plus.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kankakee, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $22.00/hr.
