Human Resources Manager (Law Firm | Hybrid DC-Based Role)
Growing, mission-driven law firm (50+ attorneys) seeks a senior-level Human Resources Manager to oversee firmwide HR operations, support staff management, and office administration across multiple offices and remote states.
Summary of Duties:
Lead all aspects of Human Resources, including onboarding, recruiting, employee relations, performance management, compliance, payroll and benefits administration, and wellness initiatives. Supervise and develop legal and administrative support staff, manage compensation and evaluations, oversee multi-state HR compliance, and partner with firm leadership to implement policies and operational improvements. Ensure smooth day-to-day office operations, vendor management, budgeting support, and coordination across offices.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience in a law firm or professional services firm
- 7+ years of management experience
- Strong multi-state HR compliance knowledge
- Experience overseeing payroll, benefits, recruiting, and performance management
- Strategic, collaborative leader with excellent communication skills
Hybrid schedule (2–3 days in office; occasional Boston travel).
Salary range: $150,000–$175,000 plus comprehensive benefits and bonus potential.
